Truck Drags Stationary Car: Gurdaspur.
A stalled car was struck and pulled for a long distance by a tractor-trolley approaching from the opposite direction near the new bus terminus in Gurdaspur. Thankfully, no one was killed, but the vehicle sustained serious damage. Because the trolley driver’s eyes were closing, the car’s occupants claimed he was under the influence of alcohol.
The woman operating the vehicle described how they were waiting for a relative when their automobile was violently struck by a trolley approaching from the incorrect side and pulled for a considerable distance. The woman claimed that the truck driver’s eyes were shutting, giving the impression that he had ingested alcohol. The location was crowded with people. Road Safety Force personnel also promptly responded and managed the issue. Fortunately, neither property nor lives were lost.
