India Denies Pakistan’s Claim of Destroying S-400 System in Adampur

India has strongly denied Pakistan’s claim that it destroyed an Indian S-400 air defence system in Adampur using hypersonic missiles launched from JF-17 fighter jets.

A senior Indian military official called the claim “false” and said no S-400 system was hit or destroyed. Pakistan’s state-run PTV and China’s Xinhua news agency had earlier reported that a JF-17 Thunder jet had taken down the high-tech missile defence system in Punjab. These reports were also carried by China’s Global Times.

However, the Indian Air Force (IAF) has dismissed the reports as misinformation. An IAF spokesperson confirmed that all S-400 systems are operational and have not been damaged.

This denial comes amid growing tensions along the India-Pakistan border and follows India’s recent countermeasures under Operation Sindoor. The S-400, one of the world’s most advanced air defence systems, is a key part of India’s security grid.
