Central ਸਰਕਾਰ preparing to steal rations. “My dear Punjabis, the central BJP ਸਰਕਾਰ is committing a major injustice in ਪੰਜਾਬ,” the ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ wrote in his letter. The central ਸਰਕਾਰ is pushing the myth that ਪੰਜਾਬ’s 55 lakh residents are no longer receiving free food. In actuality, free rations are still being given out.
ਪੰਜਾਬ: Although 1.53 crore ਲੋਕ in ਪੰਜਾਬ receive rations, the central ਸਰਕਾਰ has halted the subsidy amount for these 55 lakh ਲੋਕ and is citing this as justification. This is not merely a ਸਰਕਾਰ decision; rather, it is an outright assault on ਪੰਜਾਬ’s common families, workers, farmers, and impoverished ਲੋਕ.

23 lakh poor ਲੋਕ’s rations were suspended by the central ਸਰਕਾਰ in July because they had not finished their e-KYC. According to the BJP, over 32 lakh more Punjabis will receive rations starting in September. That will prevent them from claiming that these individuals are not impoverished. The BJP intends to halt the rationing of 55 lakh ਲੋਕ in this manner.
The entire family of one child is not ineligible.
According to the BJP, some ਲੋਕ own automobiles, some pay taxes, some own more than 2.5 acres of property, and others work for the ਸਰਕਾਰ. They are therefore not impoverished. Does the entire family become ineligible, however, if a youngster from a low-income household obtains a ਸਰਕਾਰ job or owns a car? Should the entire family’s ration cards be cut?
Poor ਲੋਕ’s food is serious business.
Body: “There are a lot of impoverished individuals in ਪੰਜਾਬ. For a very long period, many ਲੋਕ in ਪੰਜਾਬ have been receiving free meals. There is insufficient food available to residents in small towns, slums, and villages. About 29 lakh impoverished individuals in ਪੰਜਾਬ are receiving free food. However, the central ਸਰਕਾਰ has recently ordered that around 32 lakh ਲੋਕ’s rations be discontinued starting in September.

Body: “Your brother Bhagwant Mann is with you,” the CM stated in the final section of his letter. There’s no reason to be afraid. No one’s ration card will be cancelled as long as ਪੰਜਾਬ is governed by the Aam Aadmi Party. No mother’s kitchen will be empty, no one’s cooker will go out, and no child will go to bed hungry. 29 lakh ration cardholders have already been validated, and the remaining tasks will be finished in six months.

If the BJP ਸਰਕਾਰ sitting in Delhi tries to snatch our bread, ਪੰਜਾਬ will give a united response. If any BJP member comes to a ਪਿੰਡ or house, make it clear to them that Punjabis will not tolerate bullying under any circumstances.’
