A young man named Ashu Monga lost his life today in a shootout between two rival gang groups near Makhu Gate in the city area.
The incident happened around 3 pm at a tattoo shop. According to reports, two men first arrived at the tattoo parlour. A little later, Ashu Monga also came to the same shop. Soon after, things turned violent.
The shop owner, Arshdeep Singh, said that the two men forcibly threw him out of his own shop. “I was standing outside when suddenly I heard gunshots. I ran away to save my life,” he said.
CCTV footage revealed that the attackers had arrived on a bike and in an SUV. They went inside the shop and started shooting. Multiple bullets struck Ashu, and he died on the spot.
Police are reviewing the CCTV footage to identify the attackers and understand the motive behind the shootout. The incident has created panic in the area, and police have increased security to prevent further violence.
