Was there a plan to spread terror in Punjab? Pakistan-linked Module Busted, Read…

The Punjab Police have foiled a major attempt to breach the state’s security. Acting swiftly on intelligence, the Amritsar Commissionerate Police exposed an international arms smuggling module linked to Pakistan. Police arrested two operatives of this network and recovered 7 sophisticated pistols from their possession. These include three PX5 and four .30 bore pistols.

Instructions Were Being Received Via WhatsApp

Giving details of the operation, Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that the initial investigation has revealed extremely shocking findings. The arrested accused were operating directly at the behest of a handler based in Pakistan. This handler would give them instructions via WhatsApp and share information about the pickup points for collecting the consignment of illegal weapons.

Weapons Were Dropped by Drones

The investigation has revealed that this module was active for a long time. The weapons were dropped across the border by drones under the cover of darkness, which these accused would then pick up and deliver further into the Supply Chain. The accused were being guided at every step through Encrypted Chat.
