The United States has shown strong support for ਭਾਰਤ in its fight against terrorism and backed Prime ਮੰਤਰੀ Narendra Modi fully, according to the US State Department.
State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce said that Secretary of State Marco Rubio has asked both ਭਾਰਤ and Pakistan to find a peaceful and responsible solution to their issues. He spoke with ਭਾਰਤ’s External Affairs ਮੰਤਰੀ S. Jaishankar and Pakistan’s Prime ਮੰਤਰੀ Shehbaz Sharif to discuss the situation.
Bruce added that the US is closely watching the rising tensions between the two countries and is staying in touch with both governments to promote peace and stability in South Asia.
She said, “The US stands with ਭਾਰਤ against terrorism and supports Prime ਮੰਤਰੀ Modi. We are in regular communication with both sides and want a peaceful outcome.”
