Union Cabinet to Meet After Pahalgam Terror Attack

The Union Cabinet will meet on Wednesday for the first time since the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 26 people.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the meeting at 11 am. Last week, there was no Cabinet meeting—only the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) met on April 23 and strongly condemned the attack.

Following the CCS meeting, India took several strong steps against Pakistan. These included lowering diplomatic ties, expelling Pakistani military officers, suspending the Indus Water Treaty, and closing the Attari land border post. These actions were taken due to suspected cross-border involvement in the attack.
