Trump Proposes UFC Fight at White House to Celebrate America’s 250th Birthday

Former U.S. President Donald Trump has suggested hosting a UFC fight on the White House grounds in 2026 as part of the celebrations for America’s 250th Independence Day.

Speaking at an event in Iowa, Trump said, “We have a lot of land there,” referring to the White House. He is a big fan of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and is close friends with Dana White, the UFC president.

Trump said the event could have 20,000 to 25,000 spectators and would be a “full fight.” His idea is part of a larger year-long celebration for America’s 250th birthday, which will take place on July 4, 2026.

He also announced other celebration plans, including a big festival on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and a sports competition for high school students from all over the country.

Trump has been seen often at UFC events in recent months and received standing ovations from the crowd. He attended fights after announcing his 2024 campaign and again just last month for two championship matches.

A White House spokesperson said they currently have no further details about the proposed event.
