Truck Hits Businessman’s Car in Jalandhar: Mother and Daughter Injured; Car Flipped 4 Times, Owner Changing Tyre Narrowly Escapes.
An automobile parked on the Delhi National Highway in Jalandhar, Punjab, was struck by a truck. The incident happened late at night, after 12 AM. When the crash occurred, a mother and daughter were seated inside the vehicle. Both are receiving treatment at a private hospital after suffering severe injuries. The incident happened in Jalandhar, close to the Merriton Hotel. Late at night, a cloth merchant from Peera Bodla Bazaar was making his way back to Jalandhar from his in-laws’ home in Ludhiana. His car had a flat tyre while travelling. He was about to change the spare tyre when he noticed a truck approaching quickly. He swiftly shifted to the side upon seeing this, but the vehicle struck the automobile squarely.
“The truck driver was speeding and approaching from behind. I was able to leap out of the car as I saw the truck coming. The car was entirely smashed after the truck struck it with such power that it rolled over four times and landed far away. Both my mother and kid suffered severe injuries while inside the vehicle. They are being treated at a private hospital.
