The Dhussi bund near the Kartarpur Corridor has broken. The Ravi River has flooded nearby villages of Dera Baba Nanak, and water has entered the city.
Since yesterday, the Gurdaspur district’s border areas have been severely damaged by the Ravi River. The Dhussi bund next to the Dera Baba Nanak-Kartarpur Corridor broke last night as a result of the river’s strong current and growing water level. In a number of neighboring villages, this has caused flooding, burying farmland and even penetrating houses at night. The flooding has also impacted the city of Dera Baba Nanak. Now, residents are pleading with the administration for assistance.
