The dead body of a young man was found in the canal in Abohar: passersby saw it floating; it was floating in a naked state; identification is yet to be done.
Today, Wednesday, a young man’s body was discovered in an Abohar canal. The body was discovered in a canal close to Dhani Vishnoornath, around 4 kilometres from Abohar city. Because the body was so deteriorated and nude, it was impossible to identify.
The body has been held in the hospital mortuary by the police with assistance from the Nir Seva Narayan Seva Samiti. According to committee member Bittu Narula, the 112 helpline was notified by onlookers who saw the young man’s body lodged in the Malukpura Minor’s grate. Following receipt of the information, the committee and ASI Pradeep Bishnoi arrived at the location.

Removal of the Body in Police Presence
Committee members Sonu Grover and Bittu Narula arrived on the spot after learning about the situation. They took the body out of the canal while the police watched.
It is assumed that the deceased young person was approximately thirty years old. Identification was very challenging because the body was extensively decomposed and only 10 to 12 days old. The bodies of people discovered in the canal have been found in a nude state for a while, the committee members observed. They have insisted that the police look into this issue thoroughly in order to identify the root causes.
