Tarn Taran By-election Becomes Trouble for Punjab Government: Government Calls Employees to Chandigarh Before the Rally; Meeting with All Committees Will Take Place.

The Tarn Taran Assembly by-election has become a prestige issue due to the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab. The Punjab Education Department and other departments’ employee organizations have caused issues for the administration, despite the party’s best efforts to win the by-election. These days, the workers in Tarn Taran are staging protests.
On November 2 and 9, 14 employee organizations have said that they will stage protests in Tarn Taran. The administration has invited all 14 organizations to a conference in Chandigarh on October 30 and 31 in order to prevent this during the election.

Meeting to be presided over by Finance Minister Harpal Cheema: A subcommittee has been established by the Punjab government to hear the employees’ financial demands. Finance Minister Harpal Cheema has been given the responsibility of leading the subcommittee. Alongside Harpal Cheema are ministers and principal secretaries of related departments.
The Education Minister, the Principal Secretary of the Education Department, and representatives from the Finance, Personnel, and Technical Education departments will attend the subcommittee meeting.
On the 30th, there will be a meeting with these employee organizations: The following organizations have been invited to a meeting by the subcommittee on October 30th: Computer Teacher Union Punjab at 11:30 AM, Computer Teacher Struggle Committee Punjab at 11:15 AM, Special Cadre Teacher Front Punjab at 11:00 AM, and Unemployed B.Ed. All Punjab DMT/CTF Contractor Worker Union at 12:45 PM, ETT TET Pass Teachers Association at 12:15 PM, ETT TET Pass Union Punjab at 12:30 PM, and TET Pass Teachers Union Punjab at 12:00 PM.
