On the morning of Diwali (Monday), a woman was killed in Chandigarh. Her own son is accused of killing her by slitting her throat with a knife. The accused son then ran away. After being notified by the neighbours, the ਪੁਲਿਸ arrived at the scene and seized the body.
The ਪੁਲਿਸ claim that the defendant has a mental illness. Before the cops arrived, he had already left.
Sushila from Sector 40 is identified as the deceased; she was discovered in her chamber this morning. The offender is her younger son, Ravi, a ਪੰਜਾਬ University student.
