The Sangat demanded that monuments depicting Sikh history, martyrdom, and community sacrifice be erected along this holy route. The administration has redesigned the entire project with this need in mind.

The Sangat (congregation) who regularly visit Sri Harmandir Sahib will be reminded of the Sikh valor, heroism, and sacrifice by these monuments of historical figures, which will help elevate the path’s dignity.
