Bassi Pathana sees a rush at beauty salons ahead of the Karwa Chauth festival.
Long lines of married women were observed at the city’s beauty parlors to get henna (mehndi) applied the day before the married women’s holiday of Karwa Chauth. The beauty parlors close to the historic Shri Shiv Mandir here are where this scene was seen.
According to Navneet, who owns a beauty parlour, reservations for married ladies to get henna begin the day before Karwa Chauth and last until the evening of the event.
