The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has clarified that there is no disagreement between the RSS and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the delay in the party’s presidential election.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Arun Kumar, the joint general secretary of RSS, stated that the BJP is free to choose its president, and the RSS works with the BJP on issues related to national interest and development.
Kumar explained that the RSS has 32 affiliates, each with its own election process. When asked about the delay in the BJP’s presidential election, which was supposed to happen in January, Kumar said, “There is no friction. The BJP’s election process is ongoing, and the president’s election will happen soon. Just wait a few days, and things will be clear.”
Currently, JP Nadda continues as the president of the BJP on an extension. Kumar also mentioned that if the BJP asks the RSS to suggest a suitable candidate for the president, they will consider the request if a qualified swayamsevak is available.
