On Thursday morning, criminals stormed into a residence in Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, Phagwara, Kapurthala, and robbed a woman who was living alone at knifepoint. They made off with thousands of rupees’ worth of cash and jewelry. City Phagwara police responded to the location and began an inquiry as soon as the occurrence was reported. According to investigating officer ASI Jatinderpal, CCTV cameras in the neighborhood are being examined in an effort to identify the burglars.

Son Lives Abroad

The police say that Kuldeep Kaur, a resident of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Nagar, complained to them about the death of her husband, Pritpal Singh, two years ago. She lives alone in the house because her son, Sukhwinder Singh, lives overseas. Kuldeep Kaur claims that two unidentified burglars broke the door’s latch and entered the house at around three in the morning on Thursday.

City Phagwara police have filed a formal complaint against three unidentified armed individuals in connection with the shooting of a young person in the thigh by unidentified thieves at the Phagwara-Chandigarh Bypass on the evening of August 14. In his complaint, resident Rohit Kumar told investigating officer ASI Jatinderpal that three armed persons riding motorcycles stopped him at Phagwara Bypass on the evening of August 14 when he was returning home from work and robbed him.
