Road Accident on Ludhiana-Ferozepur Highway: Youth Dies After Car Collision, Was Returning After Eating at a Dhaba.
A young man who was hurt in an accident on the Jagraon-Ludhiana-Ferozepur Highway in Punjab passed away while receiving medical attention. Dalbir Singh, a resident of Pudaing village, has been identified as the deceased. The accident was reported to the Jagraon Sadar police station by the relatives of the deceased, Baldev Singh.
The lawsuit states that on the evening of October 30, Dalbir Singh, a welder, was employed at the Grand Orchid Resort, which is situated across the street from the village of Gauhar. He had gone to a wayside restaurant, or dhaba, for dinner late at night. A fast-moving vehicle from the Mullanpur side struck him as he was crossing the highway returning to the resort after dining.
Dalbir suffered severe injuries in the collision. He was admitted to a hospital in Ludhiana right away by those in attendance. Doctors sent him to Chandigarh because of his serious condition. While receiving treatment this morning, Dalbir Singh passed away.
A police squad responded to the information by coming to the area, seizing the body, and sending it for a post-mortem examination. The body would be given to the family following the post-mortem, according to Investigating Officer ASI Inderjeet. The police have opened an investigation and filed a case against the driver of the unidentified vehicle.
