The neck of the Ravana effigy, erected at the Dussehra Ground in Leather Cantonment, suddenly broke. During this time, many people were worshipping the effigy. Many others were busy taking selfies. As soon as the effigy fell, there were screams among these people, and everyone ran away. A person who was standing on a scooter near the effigy was also partially hit but suffered only minor injuries.

The effigy was miraculously re-erected after the weather improved a little later.

At 6 PM, Ravana will be set ablaze at Sai Das School and wherever else. Tableaux (processions) depicting Ravana and his army, Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman will be removed prior to this.

Police will be stationed at intersections, and routes will be rerouted.

During Dussehra, there won’t be any road closures in the city, but police will be stationed at every crossroads to prevent cars from entering from the incorrect side.
