At India’s IndusInd Bank, Rajiv Anand assumes leadership as CEO.
IndusInd Bank announced in an exchange filing on Monday that seasoned banker Rajiv Anand has assumed leadership as managing director and CEO. Anand, whose appointment was made public earlier this month, has held important executive roles at prestigious international financial organisations and was recently the deputy managing director at private lender Axis Bank.
Due to years of internal derivative trading misaccounting, IndusInd Bank suffered a $230 million loss in the year ending March 31. As a result, CEO Sumant Kathpalia and deputy Arun Khurana resigned in April.
