Russian President Vladimir Putin called Indian Prime ਮੰਤਰੀ Narendra Modi after the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. He strongly condemned the attack, expressed sorrow for the loss of innocent lives, and offered full support to ਭਾਰਤ in its fight against terrorism.
ਭਾਰਤ’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randhir Jaiswal, shared details of the phone call on social media. Putin said those responsible for the attack must be punished.
Both leaders also talked about strengthening the close and special partnership between ਭਾਰਤ and Russia. PM Modi also wished President Putin for the 80th anniversary of Victory Day (May 9) and invited him to visit ਭਾਰਤ later this year for the annual summit.
Earlier, on May 2, ਭਾਰਤ’s Foreign ਮੰਤਰੀ S. Jaishankar had spoken with Russian Foreign ਮੰਤਰੀ Sergey Lavrov. He also said that the ਲੋਕ behind the Pahalgam attack must be brought to justice.
