Punjabi Businessman Harjit Singh Dhadda Shot Dead Outside Office in Canada

A 50-year-old Punjabi businessman, Harjit Singh Dhadda, was shot and killed outside his office in Mississauga, Canada, near Telford Way and Derry Road. The incident happened earlier this week and has shocked the local community. It is the sixth murder in the city this year.

Eyewitnesses said Dhadda was near his car when unknown attackers came out of a parked vehicle and shot him 15 to 16 times at close range. The gunmen quickly fled in the same car they arrived in. People nearby ran for safety during the shooting.

One person working at a nearby law firm shared that a bullet entered their office and hit an empty chair just seconds after he had moved away from it.

Dhadda was taken to the hospital in serious condition but sadly died from his injuries.

Police have not officially confirmed the victim’s name yet, but a spokesperson said that the case is now being investigated. CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed to help identify the attackers.

Dhadda was originally from Bajpur in Uttarakhand, India. He moved to Canada nearly 30 years ago and became a well-known businessman in the trucking industry.

Some close friends shared that Dhadda had recently received threats from Indian phone numbers. These threats had worried him, and the police had reportedly warned him earlier about his safety.
