Punjab Woman Missing in Pakistan: Was Part of a Sikh Jatha (Group) Visiting Gurdwaras; Indian Agencies Engaged in Investigation.
It has come to light that one of the Indian Sikh pilgrims who traveled from Punjab to visit Gurdwaras in Pakistan went missing. Sarabjit Kaur, a resident of Village Amainipur, Post Office Tibba, District Kapurthala (Punjab), has been identified as the missing woman.

Sarabjit Kaur traveled to Pakistan with a group of 1932 pilgrims on November 4th, the day of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Prakash Parv (Birthday), according to the source. The group was supposed to stay for ten days.
traveled via the Attari Border to Pakistan. After visiting several Gurdwaras for ten days, the group intended to return to India. But at the moment of repatriation, only pilgrims from 1922 came back. The returning group did not include Sarabjit Kaur.

A few group members came back earlier, but Sarabjit was nowhere to be seen.
Giani Kuldeep Singh Gaggaj, the Acting Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, four other members, and three women (whose family members were ill at home) had already departed to India. However, it wasn’t until no information regarding Sarabjit Kaur was obtained that her disappearance was confirmed.
