Punjab Police Inspector Under Scrutiny by High Court, Status Report Demanded: Gave Call Details of a Major’s Wife to a Female Friend; Hearing on October 1st.
Inspector Gagandeep Singh, who was assigned to the Zirakpur Police Station in Mohali, Punjab, has been the target of a severe ruling by the High Court. It is said that he gave a female friend the mobile number of the wife of a Major in the Indian Army. In this instance, the High Court has mandated that the Mohali SSP provide a comprehensive status report on the legal action against the inspector.
A departmental investigation alone is insufficient, according to the High Court, and it is unclear what other steps are being done. This case’s next hearing is scheduled for October 1.
