Punjab Minister Predicts Big Win for AAP’s Sanjeev Arora in Ludhiana (West) Bypoll

Punjab Cabinet Minister Barinder Kumar Goyal has confidently predicted a strong victory for Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora in the upcoming Ludhiana (West) Assembly by-election.

Speaking at a public meeting held at the Lions Club in Tagore Nagar on Tuesday evening, Goyal praised Arora’s development work over the past three years, saying it has earned him the public’s trust and widespread support.

“This bypoll is happening under unfortunate circumstances following the sudden demise of MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi,” Goyal said. “But the party has full faith in Sanjeev Arora’s leadership. He is one of the most honest and hardworking leaders in AAP.”

Goyal further claimed that no leader in the past 50 years has matched Arora’s pace of development in Ludhiana. “It’s rare for a Rajya Sabha MP to be so active on the ground. Arora has delivered every time the party or people asked for something,” he added.

He also spoke about the public’s growing confidence in Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s government and AAP’s national leadership under Arvind Kejriwal, saying, “Kejriwal has changed Indian politics by putting people first. AAP’s governance is based on honesty and real service.”

Arora Pledges “Four Times” More Effort if Elected

During the event, Sanjeev Arora shared a “report card” of his three years in office, highlighting key projects like the Halwara Airport, elevated roads, four bridges on the Sidhwan Canal, and the OTS scheme for industrialists.

He promised to work “four times harder” if elected and vowed to turn Ludhiana into a “model city for the entire country.”

Prominent AAP leaders including Bittu Bhullar, Gurpreet Babbal, Manu Jairath, Munish Shah, and Mala Dhanda were also present at the event.

The bypoll in Ludhiana (West) is being closely watched, with AAP hoping to retain the seat and showcase its development credentials ahead of future state and national elections.
