PHDCCI organized 1st edition of RETS Conclave focusing on ਪੰਜਾਬ

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the RETS conclave during Ins/Out. On this occasion, Baldev Singh Sran chairman cum managing director PSPCL ਸਰਕਾਰ of ਪੰਜਾਬ said that temperature is increasing day by day due to global warming and the ਪੰਜਾਬ is also suffering with the heatwaves because of modernization.
He said that ਪੰਜਾਬ is also adopting many methods like solar, wind, hydro, and other new energy sources to achieve carbon neutrality. In Patiala 7 solar trees are installed which are reducing 41 tons of carbon dioxide emissions equal to planting 1,515 trees.Energy consumption breakdown in ਪੰਜਾਬ is 26-28% in the domestic sector, 32-33% in the industrial sector and 7% in the commercial sector.
ਪੰਜਾਬ has taken an ambitious target of establishing 3000 megawatt of energy storage, with 500 megawatt already floated by SECI. This project aims to provide round-the-clock energy through a mix of solar, wind, and battery storage. Approximately one acre of land is required to establish 100 megawatt-hours of battery storage.
On this occasion, RS Sachdeva Chair, ਪੰਜਾਬ Chapter, PHDCCI said that this event is being organized with the aim that ਲੋਕ can adopt the solar energy which can curb out the problems of climate change.
