ਪੰਜਾਬ CM Mann and Kejriwal Say 99% Drugs Removed from Villages, Vow to End Remaining Problem

ਪੰਜਾਬ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ Bhagwant Mann and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday that 99% of drugs have been removed from villages in ਪੰਜਾਬ. They promised to remove the remaining drug problem completely.

They were speaking at Lakhanpal ਪਿੰਡ during the launch of the second phase of the anti-drug campaign called “Nasha Mukti Yatra”. In this phase, ਪਿੰਡ meetings and awareness drives will be held in all 13,000 villages across the state.

CM Mann said that the drug problem started during previous governments, and some ministers even supported drug dealers.

He said the current AAP ਸਰਕਾਰ has been cleaning up the mess for the past two months. He added, “Even if the seed of drugs is left, we will destroy it so that it doesn’t grow again.”

Kejriwal also said that ਪਿੰਡ leaders confirmed that 99% of drugs are gone. He claimed this is the biggest anti-drug drive in ਭਾਰਤ’s history. He said over 10,000 drug smugglers have been caught, including 8,500 big ones. He called for support from all 3 crore ਲੋਕ of ਪੰਜਾਬ, saying the ਪੁਲਿਸ cannot do it alone.

At the event, the CM made villagers take an oath to fight against drugs.

On the water issue, CM Mann said ਪੰਜਾਬ cannot give its water share to Haryana. He said Haryana’s previous quota ended on March 31 and they must wait for the next one in May. He added that ਪੰਜਾਬ is also fighting this issue in court.

The CM also shared that the ਸਰਕਾਰ is working to clean 15,000 ਪਿੰਡ ponds and build new stadiums and roads across the state.
