Ludhiana: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann arrived in Ludhiana today. A special program is happening at Mahima Singh Wala village in the Mahima Singh Football Stadium to celebrate the return of traditional bullock cart racing.
Many leaders and officials including Punjab’s Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh are attending the event. The Chief Minister will address the public shortly.
Speaking at the event, Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh said that traditional sports involving dogs and pigeons are allowed. However he clearly mentioned that giving drugs to animals for these sports will not be allowed. He said that associations must keep a close watch to ensure fair practices.
