Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann Promises Development and Peace on Eid-ul-Fitr

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann assured the people that hatred would not be allowed to spread in the state. He emphasized that Punjab, which has suffered due to the wrong policies of previous governments, would focus on peace, love, and development.

Speaking from Malerkotla, a city blessed by Guru Gobind Singh, CM Mann assured the people that while many things will grow in Punjab, hatred would not be one of them. He also criticized past governments for stopping public transport services to rural areas. To help unemployed youth, he announced that they would be given permits for minibuses and assistance to buy vehicles on easy terms.

CM Mann also announced that Rs 150-200 crore would be spent on infrastructure projects in Malerkotla, the youngest district of Punjab. Key projects include a new Government Medical College, a Government College for Girls, new administrative office buildings, link roads, and improved civic amenities.

He also shared that land for the new Government Medical College has almost been acquired, and the college will have 100 MBBS seats. The Civil Hospital in Malerkotla will also be upgraded to provide 150-200 beds.

Sangrur MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer, Malerkotla MLA Mohammad Jamil Ur Rahman, and Amargarh legislator Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra were also present at the event.
