Punjab Cabinet Takes Big Decisions: Age Limit Raised for Group D Jobs, Strict Action Against Bad Seeds

The Punjab government held an important cabinet meeting today at the Chief Minister’s house in Chandigarh. Several major decisions were taken:

Group D Jobs Age Limit Increased

The age limit for applying to Group D government jobs has been raised from 35 to 37 years. This will give more people a chance to apply for these positions.

The government has made changes to the Seed Act. Now, anyone found selling low-quality seeds will face heavy fines and strict punishment.

Relief for Transferred Employees

Employees who were transferred from the Rural Development Department to the Animal Husbandry Department will now get one more year added to their service.

Salary Update for VAT Officers

Officers working under VAT will now get salaries as per the rules of the Punjab government.
