Amritsar: The PRTC Contract Workers Union Punjab held a press conference in Amritsar expressing anger over the unfulfilled promises made by the Punjab government and Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar.
Union leaders said they have been fighting for their demands for a long time but all meetings with the government have ended without results. They accused the government of making false promises and ignoring their concerns.
The union had planned a protest on July 28 to push for their demands. However, no government official or the Transport Minister has contacted them yet.
Union leaders warned that if the July 28 meeting is also inconclusive they will intensify their protest against the Punjab government.
