Amritsar: The PRTC Contract Workers Union ਪੰਜਾਬ held a press conference in Amritsar expressing anger over the unfulfilled promises made by the ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ and Transport ਮੰਤਰੀ Laljit Singh Bhullar.
Union leaders said they have been fighting for their demands for a long time but all meetings with the ਸਰਕਾਰ have ended without results. They accused the ਸਰਕਾਰ of making false promises and ignoring their concerns.
The union had planned a protest on July 28 to push for their demands. However, no ਸਰਕਾਰ official or the Transport ਮੰਤਰੀ has contacted them yet.
Union leaders warned that if the July 28 meeting is also inconclusive they will intensify their protest against the ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ.
