This demonstration was planned two years after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated in Parliament on September 18, 2023, that there was solid proof that Indian operatives were involved in Hardeep Singh Nijjar’s murder.

The demonstration began in the morning and continued till 8:00 p.m. During the business embassy’s encirclement, the protest was peaceful, according to the organizers. Additionally, according to the organizers, the Indian government consistently backs the Khalistan sympathizers in Canada.

“The India-Canada dispute began after the Nijjar murder.”

“Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar (45) was murdered by gunfire on June 18, 2023, in the parking lot of the Guru Nanak Sikh Gurdwara in Surrey (British Columbia), where he was the president and a key supporter of the Khalistan movement.”

“Karnapreet Singh, Kamalpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh, and Karan Brar have all been charged with murder and conspiracy in this case. Nonetheless, demonstrators claim that the actual murder scheme masterminds are still evading the authorities.

In Parliament, former Prime Minister Trudeau had leveled charges against India.

“Trudeau said in Parliament in September 2023 that Canadian authorities were looking into whether Indian agents were involved. The relationship between Canada and India was severely damaged by this remark. A high-ranking Indian diplomat was expelled by Canada. India also expelled a Canadian official in retaliation.

“Trade negotiations and commercial services were interrupted in both nations. However, the two sides decided to resume discussions and somewhat normalize relations during the G7 conference in mid-2024.
