Prime ਮੰਤਰੀ Narendra Modi spoke to Civil Aviation ਮੰਤਰੀ Rammohan Naidu on Thursday to get an update on the Air ਭਾਰਤ flight crash that happened near Ahmedabad airport.
The ਮੰਤਰੀ informed the Prime ਮੰਤਰੀ that he is on his way to Ahmedabad to personally oversee rescue and relief work. The Prime ਮੰਤਰੀ directed him to make sure all possible help is provided without any delay.
PM Modi also asked for regular updates on the situation. The Office of ਮੰਤਰੀ Naidu said that all emergency agencies are on high alert, and a coordinated rescue operation is already underway.
This comes after Air ਭਾਰਤ flight AI 171, with 242 ਲੋਕ onboard, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad on its way to London. Rescue teams are currently at the site, and medical support is being rushed to the injured.
