PM Modi Makes Surprise Visit to Adampur Air Base, Sends Strong Message to Pakistan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid a surprise and secret visit to the Indian Air Force base in Adampur, Punjab, on Tuesday morning. This air base is one of the key locations housing the Russian-made S-400 missile defence system, a crucial part of India’s defence against aerial threats.

During the visit, the Prime Minister received a detailed briefing from the Indian Air Force and also interacted with the soldiers stationed there. Photos from the visit, accessed by The Tribune, show Modi posing with the jawans, boosting morale and solidarity.

This visit came just a day after Modi’s strong televised message in which he said that Pakistan’s nuclear threats no longer scare India, and any future terrorist attacks will be met with a response on India’s own terms and timing.

By choosing Adampur — a strategically important air base near the India-Pakistan border — Modi aimed to send a clear and powerful message to Pakistan, reinforcing India’s readiness and confidence in its military capabilities.

The visit highlights the government’s focus on national security and its zero-tolerance policy on terrorism.
