PGI Chandigarh Changes Admission Method for Fellowship: Merit Will Be Based on Both Written Exam and Interview; 50% Marks Mandatory.
The admissions procedure for fellowship and postdoctoral fellowship programs at PGI Chandigarh (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research) has been modified. Admission will now be determined by a combination of the written exam and the interview, rather than just one of them. The AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) system in New Delhi will resemble this one.
Candidates will first need to take a written exam in accordance with the new pattern. There will be 60 questions on this exam, which will last 60 minutes. One mark will be awarded for each question. Candidates must receive at least 50% of the possible points, or 30 marks, in order to pass this test. The departmental evaluation is the following step, and only those who fulfill this condition will be invited.

The departmental assessment will be a lab-based, practical, or clinical test.
Those who pass the written exam will be invited to this stage, and up to three times as many candidates will be offered the chance as there are seats available. This assessment will take the form of a lab-based, practical, or clinical test. It will be administered online and carry a total score of 40. The final merit list will be created by adding the scores from this stage to the written exam scores.
