Patiala MP Questions His Own Party.

Dharamvir Gandhi Said: Those Whose Security Deposit is Forfeited are Made Halqa In-charge (Local Area In-charge), This Practice is Not in Line with Principles.

Patiala Congress MP Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi has raised concerns about his own party. He claims that the Halqa In-charge has been assigned to those whose security deposit (or bail) has been forfeited. In his social media post, he stated that this behaviour is inconsistent with the Congress’s organisational values and culture.

Gandhi stated in a letter: “Through this culture, you have destroyed the leadership capacity of dozens of talented young men and women in politics.”

In his post, Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi posed four queries:

What is the Congress party’s Halqa Incharge and who is he? Are these the same candidates that were denied entry to the State Assembly, or Vidhan Sabha, and some of them even had their security deposits revoked? Who designated them as Halqa Incharges is the question. Make the decision public and provide the identity of the leader who made the appointment.

Gandhi claimed that the only reason this was done was to prevent and hurt the local young and more devoted and committed leadership from rising to positions of prominence. The Congress’s organisational values and culture are violated by this conduct.

He added: “Dozens of politically promising young men and women have lost their ability to lead because of this Halqa Incharge culture. Two generations of young people have had their political dreams crushed, and if this keeps up, the third generation will be the next to suffer.

Dr. Gandhi cautioned that it would be a crime against the country’s youth, Congress party, and future leaders to carry on with this habit of distributing positions, authority, and tickets to a small group of people and their dependents—four to five times in certain cases.
