Pakistan Defence Minister’s X Account Suspended in India for Spreading Fake News

The X account of Pakistan’s Defence Minister, Khwaja Asif, has been suspended in India. The action was taken after the Indian government officially asked for it. According to X, the account was spreading fake news and disinformation.

The suspension came after Khwaja Asif admitted on camera that Pakistan supported terrorist groups against India with help from the UK and the US.

Some Pakistani journalists, believed to be working for Pakistan’s spy agency ISI, also had their X accounts suspended.

Earlier, India banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels for posting false, provocative content about India, its army, and security agencies. These banned channels had over 63 million subscribers altogether.

This action follows the tragic terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
