A total of 537 Pakistani nationals, including nine diplomats and officials, left India through the Attari-Wagah border between April 24 and April 27, officials said.
This happened after the Indian government asked short-term visa holders from Pakistan to leave following the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where 26 people, mostly tourists, were killed on April 22.
On Sunday alone, 237 Pakistanis, including nine diplomats, crossed back into Pakistan. Earlier, 81 left on April 26, 191 on April 25, and 28 on April 24.
Meanwhile, 850 Indians, including 14 diplomats and officials, returned from Pakistan through the same border crossing during these four days. On Sunday, 116 Indians came back, while 342 returned on April 26, 287 on April 25, and 105 on April 24.
The Attari-Wagah border crossing in Punjab served as the main point for these movements between the two countries.
