Narsinghpura Assault Case: Case Registered Against 7, Including Two Women; Three Arrested.
Wife of the Victim Teacher Claims to be the Chief Minister’s Adopted Sister

In the alleged assault case involving the family members of Mandeep Kaur, a resident of village Narsinghpura, who claims to be the adopted sister of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Bassi Pathana Police have reportedly registered a case against 7 individuals, including two women, and arrested three. According to the information received, Inderjit Singh, a resident of village Narsinghpura who works as a teacher in a government school, alleged in a complaint to the police that on the night of Diwali, his neighbors, Robindeep Singh and others, started throwing fireworks from the roof of their house into his courtyard. Seeing this, the children present in the house got scared.
When he forbade them from doing so, Robindeep Singh, Manjit Singh, Harvinder Singh, Barinder Singh, Gurjit Singh, Binder Kaur, and Kiranjit Kaur came down armed with sticks and began assaulting him. When his uncle and aunt, who came upon hearing the commotion, tried to rescue him, the said individuals also assaulted them.
The matter gained more attention today when Mandeep Kaur, wife of Inderjit Singh and resident of village Narsinghpura, claimed during a conversation with a TV channel that she is the adopted sister of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and that the Chief Minister had tied a Rakhi from her at an event. Mandeep Kaur appealed to the Chief Minister through the media, stating that the police were not listening to their plea regarding the unprovoked assault on her husband and other relatives on the night of Diwali.

When asked about the case, SHO Police Station Bassi Pathana, Thanedar Suresh Kumar, stated that they had received information about some individuals from village Narsinghpura being admitted to the government hospital due to a fight. In this regard, on the basis of Inderjit Singh’s statement, a case has been registered against Robindeep Singh, Manjit Singh, Harvinder Singh, Barinder Singh, Gurjit Singh, Binder Kaur, and Kiranjit Kaur, all residents of village Narsinghpura, and three individuals wanted in the case have been arrested. He added that the other individuals attempting to evade police custody will also be arrested soon.
