MBBS Exam Scam at Rohtak’s Pt BD Sharma University Deeper Than Feared: Question Papers Leaked, Fake Answer Sheets Submitted

The MBBS examination scam at Pt BD Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak (UHSR), has grown more serious with new findings revealing that question papers were leaked at least three times in 2024. The leak was part of a well-organized racket involving insiders and students.

According to sources, a key accused confessed during interrogation that exam papers for May 15, 17, and 19 were secretly photographed by an invigilator. These images were shared over mobile phones and WhatsApp with students from other batches, who were then asked to rewrite answer sheets on behalf of actual candidates.

The forged answer sheets were reportedly completed at the home of the main accused. Some students wrote as many as six answer sheets each, impersonating different examinees. The fake answer sheets were later swapped with the originals inside the university’s secrecy branch, allegedly with help from university insiders.

Investigators found that blank answer sheets were provided by an assistant-level staffer hired through the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam. The invigilator who leaked the papers allegedly charged ₹30,000 per paper, while the main accused collected ₹3 lakh per subject from students to handle the entire cheating process.

Despite the invigilator’s name being revealed during the investigation, no action has been taken against him. Several other university staff members have also been named by the accused but have not yet been questioned, raising serious concerns about the depth of the scam and possible cover-up efforts.
