Manjinder Singh Sirsa Serves Legal Notice to AAP’s Aman Arora Over Defamation Claims

Delhi BJP leader and former minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa has served a legal notice to AAP Punjab chief and Cabinet Minister Aman Arora, demanding an unconditional apology within 24 hours for allegedly defamatory remarks made against him.

The notice, issued through Supreme Court advocate Yoginder Handoo, accuses Arora of falsely linking Sirsa with hardcore criminals and gangsters, particularly in connection with the murder of businessman Sanjay Verma. Sirsa has claimed that Arora’s statements have seriously damaged his public image and reputation.

The controversy stems from Arora’s comments made on July 10, which were widely circulated on social media platforms, including X (formerly Twitter). In the viral video, Arora can be heard allegedly saying:

“Jis tarike se Manjinder Singh Sirsa ne un gangsters ke haq mein nara mara hai… haq me utre hai,”

and “Lekin Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Bhajpa, aur kendra sarkar wo aaj hardcore criminals ke gangsters ke haq mein khadi nazar aa rahi hai.”

Sirsa has demanded that Arora retract his statements and issue a public apology, failing which he has threatened legal action for defamation.
