AAP’s senior leader and newly appointed Punjab in-charge, Manish Sisodia, met with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann at his residence on Monday evening to discuss key government policies and programs in the state.
Sisodia, who arrived in Punjab the evening before, was warmly welcomed by AAP party leaders. At Chandigarh airport, he shared the party’s focus on eradicating drugs from the state, accelerating development, and fulfilling promises made to the people of Punjab.
He expressed gratitude to AAP’s national convener, Arvind Kejriwal, for giving him the responsibility of overseeing Punjab’s progress and praised the Bhagwant Mann government for tackling issues left by previous administrations. Sisodia pointed out that the Punjab government had achieved in just one month what previous governments couldn’t accomplish in decades, particularly in addressing the longstanding drug problem in the state.
He commended Mann’s leadership and the government’s focus on rapid development in sectors like education, health, and employment, which have shown significant improvement under the AAP. He emphasized that the government’s top priority remains making Punjab drug-free, noting that visible progress has already been made.
Sisodia reaffirmed AAP’s commitment to fulfilling its electoral promises, ensuring that Punjab receives transparent and accountable governance. He stressed that the government would continue focusing on education, healthcare, infrastructure, and combating corruption while striving to provide a drug-free state.
