Man beats dog with a hockey stick in Jalandhar; VIDEO: Woman reaches police station after its death; CCTV of the incident found, case registered.
In Jalandhar Cantt, Punjab, a dog was viciously beaten with a hockey stick close to Sansarpur, resulting in its demise. CCTV footage of the event shows a person using a hockey stick to beat a dog. Several neighbourhood neighbours have complained about this issue to the Jalandhar Cantt police station.
The woman who looked after the dogs filed the complaint.
Anju, Manoj Kumar’s wife and a resident of Sansarpur in Jalandhar Cantt, told the police in her statement that she takes care of the stray dogs that live outside her home. According to her, the accused, Swaranjit Singh, also known as Soni, who lived in the same neighbourhood, killed one dog and tried to hurt more by attacking with a hockey stick.

According to the woman, the accused committed the act because he was hooked on alcohol. All of the CCTV footage from the incident has been turned over to the police by the family for their investigation. Based on the CCTV evidence, the police have currently begun an investigation. Numerous other persons have also signed the police complaint, which allows for prompt action to be taken in the case.
