Malout Man Wins Rs 2.5 Crore in Lottery Just 1.5 Hours After Buying Ticket

Dipty Bansal, who lives in Green Valley, Malout, won Rs 2.5 crore in the Nagaland State Dear 500 Super Monthly Lottery. He bought the winning ticket just 1.5 hours before the draw on Saturday evening.

Dipty runs a car bazaar in Malout. He said he had no plan to buy a lottery ticket, but a casual chat with a lottery agent changed everything. His business partner wanted to buy a ticket, so they called a lottery agent who was nearby. The agent then asked Dipty to buy one too. Dipty agreed and asked for a random ticket.

Just 1.5 hours later, the agent called him with the big news — he had won the top prize of Rs 2.5 crore. Dipty said, “It was a lucky day. I’m still trying to believe it. My family and I will decide what to do with the money later.”

This isn’t the first time Malout has had a big lottery win. On May 3, a Panchkula resident who bought a ticket from Malout won Rs 1 crore in another Nagaland lottery.
