Ludhiana West Bypoll: AAP & Congress Begin Campaigning, BJP & SAD Yet to Announce Candidates

Though the election date for the Ludhiana West bypoll is yet to be announced, the political battle has already begun. AAP’s Sanjeev Arora and Congress’ Bharat Bhushan Ashu have kicked off their campaigns with eye-catching hoardings across the constituency.

Areas like Mall Road, Ghumar Mandi, and Rani Jhansi Road are dotted with colourful banners and slogans trying to woo voters.
One of Arora’s taglines reads: “Honge kaam, milega satkar, Sanjeev Arora ais vaar” while another adds: “Na gussa, na hankar, Sanjeev Arora ais vaar.”
Congress’s Ashu has a message too: “For development and trust, Ashu is must.”

Local resident Gaurav Sharma commented, “This is just the beginning. Once the election date is announced, the campaigning will intensify.”

Meanwhile, BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) have yet to declare their candidates.
BJP spokesperson Anil Sarin said the party is waiting for the official announcement of the election schedule. “Speculation is going around about a celebrity or an industrialist being fielded. Whatever the decision, we will support it wholeheartedly,” he added.

As the contest shapes up, Ludhiana West is bracing for a political showdown.
