A grenade was thrown outside the home of former minister Manoranjan Kalia in Jalandhar on the evening of April 7th and 8th, at around one in the morning, according to reports. The main gate and an Innova car parked inside were damaged when the bomb landed next to it. In this regard, a case was filed at the local police station under the appropriate criminal sections.

According to the inquiry, Kulbir Singh, a member of the outlawed terrorist group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), plotted to assassinate important Punjabi leaders with his accomplice, Manish, also known as Kaka Rana.

Manish and Kulbir Singh established a gang to promote terror and generate money for Babbar Khalsa International. Saidaul Amin threw the grenade after Manish brought him into the group. They gave Kulbir the firearms. Fading did not enter the battle, which means they did not take part in carrying out the attack. Kulbir Singh accepted responsibility on social media following the attack. He has been the subject of a Red Corner Notice, and a reward of 10 lakh ($1 million) has been offered for his capture.
