Invitation Letter Issued on the Occasion of Shri Khatu Shyam Janmotsav (Birthday Celebration)

Naveen Gupta, Rajan Syal, Amit Goyal, Naresh Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Goldy Gurani, Praveen Kumar, Sahil Kumar, Deepak Mittal, Manoj Kumar, Vicky Mittal, Suraj Shah, Dinesh Kumar, Amit Arora, and other members attended a meeting of the local social and religious organisation Shri Balaji Shyam Parivar, which was chaired by Rajesh Mittal. Senior organisation member Naveen Gupta told us that a meeting was convened to discuss the major celebration of Khatu Shyam Ji’s birthday, which will include a grand Nishan Yatra (procession with religious flags) on November 1. Beginning at Shitala Mata Mandir, which is close to the Tehsil complex, the procession will travel through the city’s marketplaces and the Sarhad-Morinda main route until coming to an end at Dera Narayanpuri Devi Mandir on Dussehra Maidan route. In this case, an Aarti (prayer ceremony) and a lavish Bhandara (community feast) will take place after Kirtan Mandalis (devotional singing groups) chant the praises of Shri Khatu Shyam Ji.
