India Strikes Terror Camps in Pakistan and PoK in Precision Operation

In a major move against terrorism, Indian forces carried out ‘Operation Sindoor’, targeting nine terror camps of banned groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM). The goal was to weaken these groups by hitting their main training and launch pads.

Out of the nine targets, four were in Pakistan and five in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK). The Indian Air Force (IAF) carried out night airstrikes to ensure surprise and precision.

One of the main targets was Muridke Markaz, the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba, where Ajmal Kasab and David Headley were trained before the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

Here are the nine terror camps that were hit:

1. Bahawalpur (Pakistan) – Headquarters of Jaish-e-Mohammed, 100 km from the India-Pakistan border.

2. Muridke (Pakistan) – Lashkar-e-Taiba training camp, 30 km from the border near Samba.

3. Gulpur (PoK) – Near Poonch-Rajouri, 35 km from the LoC.

4. Sawai (PoK) – LeT camp, 30 km inside Tangdhar Sector.

5. Bilal Camp (PoK) – JeM launchpad in Muzaffarabad.

6. Kotli Camp (PoK) – LeT camp, 15 km from the LoC.

7. Barnala Camp (PoK) – LeT camp, 10 km from the LoC.

8. Sarjal Camp (Pakistan) – JeM camp, 8 km from the border near Samba-Kathua.

9. Mehmoona Camp (Pakistan) – Hizbul Mujahideen training center, 15 km from the border near Sialkot.

The operation was seen as a strong message to terror outfits and their backers.
