High-Tech Interstate Barricading in Abohar: Strict ਪੁਲਿਸ Guard on ਪੰਜਾਬ-Rajasthan Border, Vehicles Searched.
In view of the festive season in Abohar, Fazilka ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ, the ਪੁਲਿਸ have set up high-tech barricading on the ਪੰਜਾਬ-Rajasthan border. Intensive checking and searching of every vehicle coming and going at the Rajpura and Gumjal barriers is being conducted. The objective is to crack down on antisocial elements, gangsters, and drug smugglers.
This action is being carried out on the orders of the ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ’s SSP Gurmeet Singh. This special operation in the Fazilka ਜ਼ਿਲ੍ਹਾ is being led by SP (D) Balkar Singh.

These checkpoints were personally inspected by SSP (D) Balkar Singh, who also issued stringent directives to the ਪੁਲਿਸ officers. “Special vigilance is being maintained at the interstate border because drug trafficking incidents may increase, taking advantage of the ਪੁਲਿਸ deployment during the festive season,” he said.
SSP (D) Balkar Singh claims that all of the ਪੁਲਿਸ personnel and staff are present at the checkpoints. Vehicles travelling from Rajasthan to ਪੰਜਾਬ are subject to stringent inspections in order to prevent criminals and drug smugglers from crossing the ਪੰਜਾਬ border. He made it apparent that the barricading would last until the Diwali celebration.
