The bail request of Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, who was detained in connection with a case involving disproportionate assets, is being heard by the High Court today. Gurvinder Singh Dhillon, the leader of Dera Beas, is reportedly able to meet Majithia at Nabha Jail today. Additionally, a satsang (religious meeting) centre will be opened by the Dera chief. Nobody has discussed this up to this point. Additionally, it is known that the Majithia family is related to the Dera Beas chief. Names Included in the List of Ten Members.
The jail handbook states that a certain individual may encounter Majithia. It is known that the jail administration has received a list of roughly ten members of the family. It includes the name of Gurvinder Singh Dhillon, the leader of Dera Beas. The precise hour of his meeting has not yet been announced, though.
The meeting is scheduled for approximately 2:00 PM. He has already met Majithia’s sister, former MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, and her wife, Ganiv Kaur. While Majithia was incarcerated, they had tied a rakhi around her wrist. A previous attempt at a meeting, however, was unsuccessful.
Statements of Several Close Associates Recorded:
On June 25, 2025, Majithia was taken into custody by the Amritsar-based Punjab Vigilance Bureau. He is the target of a disproportionate assets case. Majithia has been incarcerated ever since. This case has been connected to the 2021 NDPS case by the Vigilance Bureau. Around 200 people’s statements were recorded at the time, including former ED Deputy Director Niranjan Singh and Punjab DGP Siddharth Chattopadhyay. According to the Vigilance Bureau, Majithia won’t be able to escape from jail this time around because their case is so compelling.
